A holding company for construction operating businesses
In Southern California, our operating company carries the licence, crews and clients. We carry capital, oversight and the trade network.
A holding company is judged on what it owns.
So the register comes first, and it is short.
Everything else here is evidence for it.
One
The network is the asset. Licensed trades, assembled over decades of working alongside them, and kept because they finish. A general contractor is only as good as the subcontractors who will take its call on a Friday.
Two
The management layer is what a client actually buys. Construction management and project management sit above the trades and own the schedule, the budget and the single point of contact. That is the difference between a network and a company.
Three
The holding structure is what makes it repeatable. An operating company can be capitalised, supported and held accountable without every project depending on one person's calendar.
Residential and commercial, new construction, accessory dwelling units and renovation, across multiple locations in Southern California. The work is performed by the operating company under its own licence. Universal Strategic does not hold a contractor licence and does not perform construction.
The register
One entity, licensed and operating. Imperium builds in Riverside County and across the Inland Empire: new construction, accessory dwelling units, remodeling and outdoor living, with financing available to its clients.
The register is short on purpose. A holding company that lists five entities and operates one is describing an ambition, not a group.
Occupied site
"Universal Strategic was completely respectful of the building and its surroundings. They immediately became part of our team and they know teamwork. They kept the jobsite clean and safe. Working with Universal Strategic is nothing short of a first class experience."
Project management
"Universal Strategic Construction is one of the best general contractors we've worked with. The entire team tactfully delivered a project of exceptional quality while staying on schedule and under budget. We hope to work with Universal Strategic again in the near future."
Modernization, San Diego
"To say that this 3 month modernization was a Herculean task would be an understatement. I remain convinced, 2 weeks prior to occupancy, that no other construction firm in the San Diego area could have handled such a task and pulled it off successfully. I have become fond of calling Universal Strategic the Seal Team 5 of construction and would recommend them without qualification."
The structure is deliberately larger than what sits inside it today. An operating business joining the group keeps its licence, its name and its crews, and gains a management layer, a trade network it did not have to build, and a partner that is not also a competitor.
If you run a construction business in Southern California and that sounds like the wrong kind of conversation, it probably is. If it sounds like the right one, the approach page explains how the group actually operates before anyone talks about terms.
For operators considering a partnership, investors evaluating the group, or clients with a project large enough to need the structure behind the contractor rather than the contractor alone.
